ABOUT

EGERIE DE HUS: TOP STALLION CONRAD DE HUS CROSSED WITH A DAM THAT BELONGS TO QUICKLY DE KREISKER’S PERFORMANCE FAMILY

For SPORT & BREEDING

Egerie de Hus is a daughter of the Holstein stallion Conrad. Partnered with José Maria Larocca junior, Conrad’s sire, Con Air, jumped at international five-star level. They participated at GCT-classes, World Cup-classes and the Lexington 2010 World Equestrian Games. Conrad followed in the hoofprints of his illustrious sire. For many years, he was partnered with Gregory Wathelet. At the age of eight, Conrad jumped already successfully, for instance in Aachen (sixth place in the Youngster Cup), Genève (twelfth place in the Grand Prix, five-star) and Mechelen (second place in a 1m50-class, five-star). One year later, Conrad and Gregory Wathelet participated once again in Aachen, this time at a higher level: thirteenth place in the Rolex Grand Prix and third place in the Mercedes-Benz Nations Cup. In the same year, they participated at the World Equestrian Games in Caen, they won a 1m50 to 1m55-showjumping class in Doha (five-star, GCT) and finished eighth in the Paris Grand Prix (five-star) and twelfth in the Mechelen World Cup (five-star). In 2015, they wrote the sequel to their success story, including the first place in the Chantilly Grand Prix (five-star, GCT), sixth place in the Calgary Grand Prix (five-star), twelfth place in the Aachen Grand Prix (five-star), thirteenth in the La Baule Grand Prix (five-star) and as top of the bill the silver medal at the Aachen European championship. Since June 2016, Conrad is performing at five-star tournaments under the saddle of Quentin Judge.

The dam of Egerie de Hus, Shirel de Kreisker, belongs to an outstanding performance family. She is the result of crossing progenitor Diamant de Semilly with the very interesting dam Betty de Kreisker (by Muguet du Manoir). Betty produced five international showjumpers at 1m50 to 1m60 level, namely Jumpy de Kreisker (Charlene Homond), Kirfa de Kreisker (Henk van de Pol and Ibrahim Hani Bisharat), Liberto de Kreisker (Lysa Doerr), Once de Kreisker (Philippe Le Jeune and since the end of 2015 Abdelkarim Abbar) and Quisling Pedreira Joter (ex-Quisling de Kreisker, Luis Sabino Gonçalves and Francisco Obino Cirne Lima). Did you know that Shirel de Kreisker is related to the international showjumper Quickly de Kreisker? Shirel’s grandmother, Danae, is Quickly de Kreisker’s great-grandmother. Experts in pedigrees know that Quickly belongs to one of the best French performance lines. The organisers of the ‘Flanders Mare Auction’ give interested people the opportunity to buy a dam that belongs to this brilliant dam line.
