JONKA VAN MAARLE: A FULL SISTER TO IDENTO VAN MAARLE AND A HALF-SISTER TO BON AMI (SCOTT BRASH)

Jonka van Maarle’s sire is Lord Z. His sire, Lord, is undoubtedly one of the most valuable sons of the Thoroughbred Ladykiller xx. The approved stallion Lord Corlandus is a full brother to Lord Z. Lord Z showed his showjumping qualities already as a youngster, for instance during the ‘Bundeschampionat’ and the World championship for six-year-old showjumpers in Zangersheide. Subsequently, Lord Z made his international début, initially under the saddle of Franke Sloothaak, later partnered with John Whitaker. Lord Z collected many victories and honourable placings during the biggest international Grands Prix and World Cup classes.

Jonka van Maarle also inherited performance blood via her dam Onka A I, who belongs to BWP performance line 7, founded by family Aerts. Onka A I produced two international performers at 1m60 level, namely Bon Ami and Idento van Maarle. In partnership with Britain’s Scott Brash, Bon Ami participated successfully at international showjumping tournaments, up to five-star level. Thanks to the Horseman Elite Auction one gets the chance to buy a full sister to Idento van Maarle. Under the saddle of Italian’s Andrea Benatti, Idento jumps at international 1m50 to 1m60 level. Onka A I also produced the international showjumpers Donbito and Fonka. Several other showjumpers (such as Prins Aydin, Prins Denver, Vonka A, High Tech Vy de Septon, Florida and Jessie van Maarle) make part of the very same valuable family. Jonka van Maarle is in foal of Cornet Obolensky (ex-Windows van het Costersveld).
