LIGHTNINGTHINA VAN ‘T RUYTERSHOF, A GRAND-DAUGHTER TO INTERNATIONAL FIVE-STAR LEVEL SHOWJUMPER DIAMANTHINA VAN HET RUYTERSHOF

Bert Van Den Branden, founder of famous studfarm “van het Ruytershof”, offers potential buyers the opportunity to buy a dam out of his studfarm, namely Lightningthina van ’t Ruytershof. Her sire, Norton d’Eole (by Cento) belongs via his dam, Fragance de Chalus, to one of the best dam lines in France. Cento performed at the highest level in the international showjumping world. Fragance de Chalus jumped for many years successfully under the saddle of Karline De Brabander and is the foundation dam of BWP performance line 37.1. Several approved stallions and international showjumpers belong to this line, such as Bamako de Muze, Ego van Orti, Mylord Carthago, A Big Boy, Sandor de la Pomme and Norton d’Eolo.  In partnership with Eric Dewulf, Norton d’Eole collected many ribbons in Grand Prix, “Sires of the world”-classes and international 1m50 to 1m60 competitions.

Lightningthina’s dam is Inathina. In partnership with Jos Verlooy, Inathina celebrated several honourable placings in international showjumping classes for young horses. The eldest descendants of Inathina are six-year-old. Despite their young age, several of these descendants are causing a furore in the showjumping world, such as Mc Gyver van ’t Ruytershof (this year in partnership with Niki Geenens, 6/6 clear rounds in the cycle for five-year-old showjumpers), the AES approved stallion Missouri van ’t Ruytershof (6/8 clear rounds in the cycle for five-year-old horses, in partnership with Victor Laudet), Messi van ’t Ruytershof (in 2016 “Elite” in Gesves on the occasion of the Belgian championship and this year ex aequo winner of the cycle for five-year-old showjumpers, under the saddle of Kurt De Clercq) and the auction dam Lightningthina van ’t Ruytershof (last year finalist during the Belgian championship for five-year-old showjumpers, in partnership with Kurt De Clercq). Diamanthina V/H Ruytershof, Lightningthina van ’t Ruytershof’s grandmother, performed at international showjumping tournaments up to five-star level, in partnership with Niels Bruynseels and subsequently with Constant Van Paesschen. Still not convinced of this product out of BWP performance line 69? In that case, I can tell that Diamanthina is a full sister to the Olympic stallion Emerald van ’t Ruytershof (Harrie Smolders).
