ABOUT
MONABLESSE OF BALLMORE: PROGENITOR NABAB DE REVE COMBINED WITH A DAUGHTER BY HEARTBREAKER, BELONGING TO A PERFORMANCE LINE
For SPORTS & BREEDING
Monablesse of Ballmore’s sire, Nabab de Rêve (by Quidam de Revel), is ranked 13th in the most recent WBFSH ranking for the best suppliers of showjumping horses. He owns this position thanks to a great number of descendants in the international showjumping world, amongst them Couscous van Orti (Samuel Parot), Equador van ’t Roosakker (Frédéric David), Emperio van ’t Roosakker (Zuzanna Gowin), Glock’s London N.O.P. (ex-Carembar de Muze, silver at the London Olympic Games, Gerco Schröder), Gitano van Berkenbroeck (Juan Carlos Garcia), Exquis Walnut de Muze (Harrie Smolders), Ensor de Litrange LXII (a few months ago winner of the Shangai Grand Prix (five–star, 1m60) and eleventh in the Aachen Rolex Grand Prix (five-star, 1m60), in partnership with Lorenzo De Luca), Candy (Pieter Devos) and VDL Glasgow van ’t Merelsnest (Jur Vrieling).
Via her dam line, Monablesse makes part of BWP performance line 24. Louis Van Gestel, founder of studfarm ‘van ’t Gestelfhof’, made a contribution to this line. Monablesse’s dam, Elodie van ’t Gestelhof, is a daughter of Heartbreaker, a stallion that became famous because of the reflexes and mentality. His descendants inherit those qualities. The eldest BWP registered descendant of Elodie, Important, is nine-year-old and performs in international two-star tournaments, in partnership with Dutch rider Carry Engelsman.Monablesse’s grandmother, Sanne van ’t Gestelhof, produced for instance Barco van ’t Gestelhof (jumped at international three-star level, under the saddle of Lance Whitehouse), Dublesse van ’t Gestelhof (performs at international 1m40 level, in partnership with Patricia Miret), Ginde van ’t Gestelhof (performs at international 1m30 showjumping classes with Lucas Arvidsson) and Wega van ’t Gestelhof. Wega is the dam of Jasper van ’t Gestelhof. In July 2017 Jasper ended seventh in a 1m45 showjumping class at the occasion of the GCT of Cascais/Estoril (five-star), in partnership with Mario Wilson Fernandes. Several BWP elite dams, as well as approved stallions, such as Turbo van ’t Gestelhof (Karel Cox), Utabor van ‘t Gestelhof, Warkant van ’t Gestelfhof (Grand Prix dressage horse, Wilfried Mondelaers) and Ublesco (five-star level, Cara Raether Carey) belong to the same performance line.
