ZAFRINA VA, PERFORMED AT INTERNATIONAL 1M50 LEVEL

Quintero, the sire of Zafrina VA, was the first approved son of Quantum. Quintero scored 144,15 points on ‘showjumping’ on the occasion of his stallion tests in Prussendorf. In 2003, he was qualified to participate at the ‘Bundeschampionat’. He got nice results at the World championship for young horses in Zangersheide: 5th at the age of five and 7th at the age of six. In partnership with Swedish rider Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, Quintero enjoyed an international break-through at the highest level, including the third place in the Göteborg World Cup class, the fourth place in the Zürich Rolex GP, the fourth place in the Genève GP, the third place in the Stuttgart World Cup class, the participation at World Cup finals and Nations’ Cups. A great number of Quintero’s descendants are performing at the highest level, amongst them Breitling LS (Elizabeth Madden), Quintano (Michael Duffy) and Quisandro (Christopher Frazer).

It’s useful to breed with a dam that performed successful in sports. Zafrina VA did it! She made a brilliant career in international showjumping. At the age of eight, she participated already at three-star showjumping tournaments, under the saddle of Mathilda Karlsson. Last year, she performed at 1m50 level in Grand Prix classes. Additionally, her half-brother Condor C (by Cassini I) is an approved stallion and performs at 1m50 to 1m60 level at international showjumping tournaments, up to four-star level, in partnership with Debbie Stephens. Via her dam line, Zafrina VA goes back to the famous Osterblume, the dam of the international performers Canaletto and Calido 7. Via her daughter Kaily-Milo, Osterblume is the grandmother of three showjumpers, with results at 1m50 to 1m60 level, namely Cassito Del Diablo (Kaya Lüthi), Acascia (Jur Vrieling and Elisabeth Meyer) and Diacord (Morgan Ward). Don’t hesitate to buy a dam belonging to such a performance family. Zafrina VA is in foal of progenitor Emerald van ’t Ruytershof.
