ABOUT
Castelino v/d Helle is one of the most promising sons of Cassini I in Belgium. As 4- and 5-year old he already jumped exemplary in the national cycle and as of this year he is brought out onto the international scene by Niels Bruynseels with the 6-year olds.Junior d’Eclipse is the first foal out of the only 5-year old Eluna d’Eclipse, a mare with an incredible genetic potential. Her sire is the top Holsteiner Calato who also sired the jumping phenomenon Cöster – Christian Ahlmann, as well as Clausen, Index, Corinessa etc.
The grand dam is none less than Aluna. The daughter of Polidiktus v/d Helle who is one of the very best jumpers in Belgium. As an 8-year old, Aluna came 2nd in the Miele Cup at the CHIO in Aachen.
Since 2009 Aluna is an established member of the Belgian team with flawless runs at the SIO of La Baule, St Gallen and Lummen.
At the European Championship 2009 in Windsor the 9-year old Aluna was the best horse in the Belgian team during the countries competition.
Other high achievers out of the Zeus-mare Kaluna are for instance: Baluna (v. Kannan), top 10-finalist freestyle jumping Mechelen and exported to Australia; Talent (v. Papillon Rouge, 1,40 m in NL); Centa (v. Cento, Thomas Dewit); Vedette (v. Papillon Rouge); ISP with JC Grandmontagne, came 2nd in the GP CSI Bonheiden 09 and dam of Chiquita d’Eclipse (Kannan), successful youngster under Stijn Van Opstal, winners of the VOR-championship 2009. In short, this is a highly performing lineage not just on paper but also in jumping competitions.
